RSA 4-Design Plan
Developing an International Education Model
The article states that Instructional design is one of three
main design components. According
to the author, Bolan, Instructional
design is the systematic approach to the analysis, design,
development, implementation, and evaluation of effective learner-centered instruction. (Bolan,
2006) Instructional Design uses learner-centered instruction as does
Dynamic Instructional Design. Both have
students’ needs in mind. The two modules
have a universal appeal.
Although they may have universal appeal, language, culture,
religion, and the like may inhibit the development. Language applies to verbal and nonverbal
communications, so what may be appropriate in one culture may not be in
another. Proper international etiquette would
have to be followed so that an effective module can be developed and
implemented. This module is like the DID
model in that curriculum , teaching, and learning goals are developed with a
strong evaluation tool used to assess the learning outcome.
